drwtsn32; most every wt study book of the last 50 years go into the 1918 inspection by jesus in one way or other. and what prophecies were forfulled in 1919 or 1914 as your quote from the isaiah book said.reading old wt teachings from that tiome the only prophices being for fulled were false prophecies. try reading the revelation wt book . pg 173 to get started . the 7 bowls of rev chapter 5 were forfulled at the 1923-28 wt conventions .or the daniel book chapter 17 now ask any jw to back that up with a study of the old wt material.? you will get all kinds of bs answers but no study of this material. great points Metatron; but i like to go for the one that jw's can never prove... the wt teaches that Jesus did an inspection of all the religions from 1914-1918 and then choose the wt in 1919. 99% of jw's will agree with this. so at this point i say if jesus choose the wt in 1919 based on his inspection from 1914- 1918 . i will have no problem HAVING A STUDY ON THE BOOKS AND MAG'S FROM THE WT AT THAT TIME. . since jesus choose them based on what they were teaching then , these books must be the best books written since the bible.. RIGHT. so i have 5 hours a week to study these teaching that made jesus sing with glee.. so here's my phone # when can the study start and which studies of the scriptures are we going to study first. mAYBE THE FINISHED MYSTERY.. don't forget to bring the elders or the c.o. to help me understand how Jesus choose the wt from these teachings.... it never fails. john

today i hit pay dirt with 2 jw 's

i went into some thing about selling mag's etc.
and all of a sudden they went wild on how at the hall the co or somebody was asking for thousands of $'s for an assembly .

well i call this sis back and we talked for almost 2 hours. It turns out that she was a methodist all her live and the jw's got to her daughter some 15 years ago./ so her daughter got her into the jw's when her pastor couldn't answer any bible questions. her church had no bible studies etc and always asked for tides.. i learned about a lot of jw scandles right here in my area. a whole cong of elders getting replaced for having a cong barbique and singing non jw songs. and a possible child molestion case.this woman kept telling me how the elders lord over the flock.. i think that upsetted her the most. the control. she wanted to talk about the trinity with out saying it. so we went over many verses that say that jesus is god , and that jesus is the creator and jehovah is the creator and the alpha and the omega. she was using 4 different bibles none nwt . i used the niv. i get the feeling that she has been questioning the elders a lot on this , as she said she was not getting any solid answers. i asked her if she knew that the wt taught that jesus was the arch angel michael. and that jesus and satan were brothers ...i made her get out the reasoning book and she was dumb founded.. we talked about the other sheep , and came to the thought that they are the gentiles and that therde is only one hope . seems that the jw's won her over when she got a knee replacement and the jw's were nicer than the methodists' it was quite a fruitful talk and i was surprised how much she was holding on to the trinity and being a jw at the same time. the girl has been doing some research or she is holding on to what she was taught as a methodist. what ever we talked about i tried to use the bible to prove the wt wrong. and thought i did well and she understanded what i was saying.. i have to say she is one of the few jw's that i talked to that had a open mind , a nice lady and we will talk again this week. john

i see 2 sisters today inj the fs .. so stop and start working them, they are so happy i know much about the wt. i went into some thing about selling mag's etc. and all of a sudden they went wild on how at the hall the co or somebody was asking for thousands of $'s for an assembly . and why do they need so much money when all the labor is free etc. so we talked about the wt and money for a while. and you know i let it out. they loved it. then they started asking me about john1-1 and the 144000 . heaven then fds etc. so we did a little bible reading and i went for jn 6-40-70 and how 6 million jw's walked away from jesus at the memorial. they wanted to know about col 1-15 and why all other bibles say different. i said check the kit and check the greek. then one sister said how her daugther don't study no more becuase the wt don't like the that she is going to college and not a pioneer etc. the sis said who the hell is going to pay her bills...we started talking about the U.N. and then the new light in the 6-1-03 wt on this . then she said that she waited a year for the wt cd rom now i know she has a computer . i tell them how i started my research on the net and when i printed out hundreds of page my dad said it was all internet bull++++ but when i went to the hall and the public library it was all there .. so now i don't understand what i read!!!!!!!! they ate it up. i was throwing out all kinds of stuff at them... i have both of their phone numbers and just called one and she said she wants to talk after she finishes dinner . they have so many questions that they say the el;der's willnot answer ... i will try to stick to the things i know best aqnd will come here for help when they stump me. i know i can count on you all. i think this will a big job ,but i see they are sick of the wt LORDING OVER THEM JOHN

so i went into the 1936 olympics and jesse owens and hitler and how the wt agt the time said that the aerian race was choosen from jehovah , but when owens won the olympics not only was hitler ptoven wrong but the wt also ,., this went on for 2 hours on the phjone with my dad , only lying to me how rutherford was choosen by a false god jehovah .
well i whiped him on every point you name it from god's choosen people to the preaching work .

pricila; it's ok . i just talked to him again this morning , and had him stumbling over the speaker phone with my brother leading the charge. see that what happens when some one tries to shove the wt down your throat for 30+ years, till you do a little reasearch i was laughed at all that time. now the shoe is on the other foot ..my dad is a big mouth jw . so i stumble him at every chance . he went into matt 25 31-46 because he says he knows the bible.. well he was stumbling some more . how he can't understand that jesus has not returned yet and how the jw's will go to hell for not helping improvished ones. etc. it's a shame that my dad didn't go to a doctor for 3 years because he thought the world was to end any day , and jehovah was going to heal his cancer.... he said i was lying about the wt and hitler .. so i called to say i would go to the kh today and he could read it straight from their own library. we could have a study on it with the elders. he didn't like the idea lol . so he said i'm playing with jehovah's people, so i told him to back up that jesus choose the wt in 1919 or 1914 or 1879 or 1881 etc, he stumbled some more i told him his prerecorded answers are not proving shit .he is just digging himself in a deeper hole. i had my brother get out the dictonary and read out loUd the meaning of the word TRUTH . i decided to get involved to prevent this.
after many months of legal battling , the wts thru in the towel and gave up on the idea.

thanx Refiners; good work.. if i'm correct, russell also used 1844 in the studies in the scriptures , as the forfullment of the Ten virgins verses etc. in combo with 1799, and 1829 or 31 to come up with 1874 etc. the gospel age the 40 years the 6000 years in 1873 and all others kinds of bible proof. it's amazing how you can take one faqlse prophecy after an other and turn it into forfullment that god is using you to teach the TRUTH..... IN FACT RUSSELL said in the 1880's that he along with jesus and the bible students borbour etc, were the CHRIST.. SOME HERE CAN POST THAT WT GEM I LOST IT... JOHN..
